HOAX and Confusion

If you haven't heard of either HOAX or Confusion, then let me tell you, you're missing out.
HOAX has some sick skaters and they're down with DIY, shredding it up and generally being awesome. Check them out HERE.
Confusion is a sweet ass mag/zine run by J-Hay. Full of shit getting gnarly, and keeping it dirty and real. Always stoked to see this in my mailbox, Confusion.

But more to the point, Jon Hay hooked it and threw a graphic I made for him on some HOAX shirts, printed out of BroPrints in Santa Cruz.

Super pumped when I got this in the mail today!

Skate zines, stickers and a Sharkalope Shirt, what more do you need!

Betsy's Installation

A good friend of mine commissioned me a month or so ago to do a tryptic for her. She had some ideas about the ocean, city life and Yosemite. I took it from there and had a great old time making a big ol' mixed media hoopla for her!
I got to use a plethora of elements to create this piece, and even gave it a little functionality to boot.

This is the piece, finally hung in the hallway above their stairwell. Final piece ended being around 3' x 5' 6" and weighing in at a healthy, rough estimate, 30-40 lbs. yikes!

Totally functional handplane with a beach scene from Bodega Bay. What beach is this?

Inner to outer sunset, mixed media painting/drawing...

Some details of the Halfdome/ Yosemite pyrographic piece.

Betsy and I chilling with piece!

Art Showings and Updates

So, I been a busy boy recently, making a lot of art, handplanes, and trying to find the time to get my shred on.

Recently I had show up with Nate Biccum and Ian Harper at Society: Culture House in Santa Rosa. Had some fun Wednesday nites there, drawing with the homies, good tunes and DJs, cold PBRs and sweet ass art to check out. If you haven't been by to check out Society and their events you should. Jared Powell, Evan Truthlive Philips, Tim Lane aka Mr. Element, Paul Timberman are all ripping it up there with art and music on a regular basis.
You can check out some of the photos from my show in this album, Society.

I will be showing again soon in two, make it three locations this April.

April 1st/2nd - I will be hanging stuff at Buddha's Palm Tattoo and Art Gallery in Sebastopol.

April 13th - I will be hanging at Daredevils and Queens in Santa Rosa with Loren Butchart and other ripping artists for an animal/humane society benefit style show.

April 29th - Shop Party at the Arlene Francis Center in Railroad Square, Santa Rosa.

Come check it out!
